Oggi desidero mostrarvi un mini-bouquet realizzato alcuni anni fa con la tecnica del Biedermeier. La simpatica teiera a forma di casa, invece, è stata acquistata durante un breve soggiorno in Gran Bretagna.
Il Biedermeier è un movimento artistico diffusosi in Austria e Germania tra il 1815 ed il 1848. In questo periodo si riscoprono i piaceri della vita familiare e si creano oggetti volti a rendere l’ambiente domestico più accogliente e confortevole.
Le decorazioni Biedermeier sono in genere costituite da spezie, piccole pigne, bacche, perline, nastrini e fiorellini di raso ed altre decorazioni.

Today, I’d like to show you a Biedermeier bouquet, I made a few years ago. The funny house-shaped teapot was bought during a little stay in Great Britain.
Biedermeier was an artistic and cultural movement originated in Germany and popular there and in Austria between 1815 and 1848. In this period, there was an increased interest in family life and people used to create objects to embellish and make their homes more comfortable.
Biedermeier decorations generally consist of: spices, small pinecones, berries, beads, satin ribbons and flowers and other embellishments.
